The book was authored by Jack Mitchell (1882-1954) of Mitchell Caverns fame and was originally published in 1964 under the title Jack Mitchell, Caveman.
This expanded second edition is new in several ways. It contains many historical photographs, a foreword by renowned desert historian, Dennis Casebier, a chronology of Mitchell Caverns, selected reading list, index, and more. The book is soft bound, printed on high quality paper, contains 176 pages and is 6.75" X 9.5" in size. Front and back covers are printed in full color.
