It contains many historical photographs, a foreword and annotations by renowned desert historian, Dennis Casebier, a map of Lanfair Valley homesteads, a chronology covering the homesteader period, and an extensive index. Most importanly, a second section of six chapters on the Lanfair School has been added, written by Maud's daughter, Margaret Sharp Moore.
