This book has the same contents as the soft cover released in early 2007. It is illustrated with historical photographs and period line art by Charles W. Reed and includes Henry Martyn Robert's 1869 map of the Mojave Road. This important publicaton by renowned desert historian Dennis Casebier features a protraiture section of military men from the narrative and is enriched with bibliographical references and an index.

Tales of the Mojave Road: The Military is bound in beautiful "bluecoat" blue with Charles Reed artwork stamped in gold on the cover. The book is printed on high quality paper, contains 238 pages, sized at 6.75" X 9.5", and has been printed in a very short run of only 100 copies.
